Concerned about a potential shift in the policy of the U.S., Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is initiating meetings with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

Tusk aims to secure the support of European partners to maintain military and political assistance for Ukraine.

Recently, a video featuring Donald Trump Jr. surfaced on social media, where he hinted at a reduction in support for Ukraine in 38 days. In light of such statements, Trump Sr. held a phone conversation with Vladimir Putin, urging him to "not escalate the situation," which raised concerns among European leaders. Although Trump claims he intends to support Ukraine, he has repeatedly suggested the possibility of swiftly ending the war through an agreement that he says he could finalize in 24 hours.

"The current political landscape poses a significant challenge for everyone, especially regarding a potential agreement between the President of Russia and the new President of the U.S. that could end the war," Tusk notes.

European leaders fear that such an agreement could leave Ukraine without key territories and force Kyiv into neutrality. Tusk is determined to prevent such a scenario and advocates for closer coordination with the UK and other European nations that support Ukraine's independence. This alliance would serve as a guarantee of stability in the region and help preserve Ukrainian territories.

"No one seeks to escalate the conflict, but equally, no one wants a weakening or even capitulation of Ukraine. That would pose a fundamental threat to Poland and Polish interests," Tusk remarked.
