Ukraine is actively modernizing its drones to enhance their effectiveness on the battlefield. Ukrainian specialists have begun equipping drones with artificial intelligence to ensure high-precision targeting – and it is proving to be highly effective.

This is reported by Reuters. The modified drones can autonomously locate and strike targets even in conditions of electronic warfare, which are usually fatal for manually operated drones.

Currently, there are already several dozen solutions available on the market exclusively from Ukrainian manufacturers. They are being procured and supplied to the Defense Forces of Ukraine, as stated by the Ministry of Defense. Most often, AI-equipped drones are used in special operations due to the capabilities offered by such modifications.

An AI drone can overcome the enemy's electronic warfare systems that are designed to disrupt the communication between the pilot and the drone. Recently, Ukrainian specialists have been considering equipping interceptor drones with AI to hunt large reconnaissance drones operated by Russians. Russian operators are already finding it very difficult to extract their "Orlans" and "Zals" from the strikes of FPV drones, and with AI, this will become nearly impossible.

It is worth noting that Ukraine is developing special anti-aircraft drones to target enemy drones. Information about one of these developments – the Sting drone – emerged recently. According to foreign sources, it is being developed by Ukrainian engineers from the "Wild Hornets" group, known for their creations of extremely powerful FPV drones.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that the mysterious drone Phoenix Ghost from the USA is not just one aircraft but a family of UAVs. Some of its specifications have been disclosed.
