A seven-point magnetic storm continues, and the Sun is experiencing intense flares. Here's the forecast for the upcoming days.

In the coming days, on January 6-7, the Earth will experience "red" and "orange" geomagnetic storms.
Семибальная магнитная буря продолжается, а на Солнце наблюдаются мощные вспышки. Ожидается, что такая активность сохранится в ближайшие дни.

For over a week, a magnetic storm has been affecting Earth, with its intensity ranging from 5 to 7 points. It is not expected to end in the coming days. Astrophysicists also warn of solar flares, which have not yet resulted in coronal mass ejections (CMEs), but they may occur soon.

According to data from the Meteoagent website, which bases its forecasts on NOAA satellite systems, TESIS, and international meteorological laboratories worldwide, as of January 6, a 7-point geomagnetic storm is raging on our planet. By Tuesday, January 7, its intensity will decrease to 4 points, which is classified as a moderate storm.

From January 8 to 12, no geomagnetic fluctuations above 4 points are expected.

At the same time, scientists from the space weather research site Spaceweather reported that there is an active sunspot AR3947. On Friday, January 3, it produced several strong M-class explosions and three powerful X-class flares.

"Each flare caused shortwave radio blackouts on Earth. Periodic signal loss below 20 MHz was observed at nearly all longitudes on our planet," the scientists emphasized.

According to them, there have been no significant coronal mass ejections (CMEs). However, the sunspot may generate even more powerful explosions, as solar activity is on the rise.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that in January, warm weather will arrive in Ukraine. Temperatures are expected to reach up to +13 degrees in some areas.
