The games are over: NVIDIA has restricted users from Russia and Belarus from updating their graphics card drivers.

Residents of Russia and Belarus will now find it challenging to update their NVIDIA graphics card drivers.
Игры окончены: NVIDIA ограничила пользователям из России и Беларуси возможность обновления драйверов для видеокарт.

The renowned American graphics card manufacturer NVIDIA has prohibited users from Russia and Belarus from updating their graphics card drivers via the official website. Now, Russians are left with the option to do so only from third-party sites.

This information is reported by various Russian propaganda and specialized technical media. It is noted that when attempting to download drivers from the company's official site, users located in Russia or Belarus receive an access error message.

Additionally, when accessing the download page, it indicates that the download request has been blocked by the Edgecast WAF firewall. The GeForce Experience program also restricts the downloading of driver updates.

Russian publications complain that NVIDIA's decision has complicated life for laptop owners with GeForce discrete graphics and for those with corresponding graphics cards on their personal computers. However, Russians still have the option to update drivers through Microsoft catalogs or from pirated resources.

Meanwhile, as reported by "Telegraph", Russia continues to have the capability to obtain chips and other components. Notably, around 80% of these are produced in the USA. These chips are used in cruise missiles that Russia regularly deploys against Ukrainian cities.

Despite the risk of violating sanctions, American authorities do not accuse US companies whose products are used in Russian missiles of breaching export controls. The business thrives, and components from these companies continue to be supplied to the Russian Federation through intermediaries, aiding the occupiers in killing Ukrainian civilians.
