According to McGee, ideally, Trump should not agree to any territorial concessions for Ukraine. He urges Trump's team to convey the risks of a potential defeat for Kyiv, as it would have serious implications for global stability.
A more pessimistic perspective is offered by CNN. The outlet claims that Trump may opt for a strategy aimed at a swift exit from the war, regardless of Ukraine's interests. In this scenario, Kyiv would face an extremely challenging path, as the U.S. might sacrifice Ukraine's interests to reach a quick agreement with Russia. The Trump administration, as speculated by CNN, would seek to minimize U.S. involvement in this war, citing the need to cut expenses and reduce international pressure on Washington.

Conversely, according to The Wall Street Journal, which proposes the most realistic scenario for ending the war, discussions among Trump's advisors are underway regarding specific steps. One possible plan involves freezing the conflict along current front lines and Ukraine's promise not to join NATO for 20 years. Under this plan, the U.S. would supply Kyiv with arms solely for deterring further Russian aggression. Additionally, there is a proposal to establish a demilitarized zone stretching nearly 1300 km to ensure temporary peace.
