A magnetic storm is currently ongoing on Earth. It was triggered by the Earth entering a stream of solar wind. Additional storms may occur in the coming days.
Our planet has entered a stream of solar wind emanating from a crescent-shaped hole in the Sun's atmosphere. This has already caused a minor G1-class geomagnetic storm, and there is a likelihood of more storms as the Earth moves deeper into the stream, as warned by scientists from the space weather research site Spaceweather.
At the same time, experts from the site Meteoagent, which bases its forecasts on NOAA, TESIS satellite systems, and international meteorological laboratories worldwide, report that currently, on January 10, a strong magnetic storm of 5 points is persisting. The following day, February 11, it is expected to decrease in intensity to 4 points. An average geomagnetic storm is predicted for February 12.
However, by Thursday, February 13, a decrease in solar activity is anticipated.
Previously, "Telegraph" reported that an anticyclone will soon arrive in Ukraine, bringing snow. Meanwhile, meteorologists predict that the "minus" temperatures will be insignificant.
