A powerful flare on the Sun may trigger magnetic storms on Earth.

What to expect from geomagnetic weather, according to scientists.
На Солнце зафиксирована мощная вспышка, способная спровоцировать магнитные бури на Земле.

A new sunspot has emerged on the Sun, posing a threat to the planet in the form of magnetic storms. However, scientists warn that a group of sunspots is present, and one of them has already produced a flare. A coronal mass ejection (CME) has been released into space, so preparations for storms should be made.

A cluster of large sunspots is forming over the southeastern edge of the Sun. Recently, the most powerful solar flare occurred, as reported by astrophysicists from the space weather research site, Spaceweather.

According to them, on the morning of October 24, sunspot AR3869 exploded, resulting in a slow solar flare of class X3.3.

"The extreme ultraviolet radiation from the flare ionized the upper atmosphere of Earth. This, in turn, led to the loss of shortwave radio signals in Australia and Southeast Asia," they explain on the site.

At the same time, astrophysicists also warn that this explosion certainly triggered a CME. There is a possibility of geomagnetic storms on Earth, but no specific date has been provided.

Magnetic Storms on Earth from October 24-27

According to data from the Meteoagent website, a moderate magnetic storm of 4 points is expected during these days.

From October 24-25, a magnetic storm of 4 points will persist. After that, from October 26-27, no fluctuations are anticipated.

As a reminder, earlier "Telegraph" reported on which regions of Ukraine will experience deteriorating weather in the near future.
